where did it go? where did genuine love go? genuine black love. that love that lingers with the smooth Teddy Pendergrass playing, or ms Sade setting the mode. those moments have become a moment in the past, classic only heard about moments, sweet cherished antique moments.

i may not be that old, but i do remember when love did mean something. when love wasn't a hunch or a spur of the moment decision, but was heart felt, and took a long time to realize. that love where two lives have laughed, and cried together, two lives where their love grew and nurtured each other. that love where there is a knot in your heart kind of pain yet there are angels smiling when your happy kind of love... where did that go. that love that is built and could never be broken. that unreal yet a representative for black love that is portrayed in Brown Sugar, Love & Basketball, Two Can Play That Game, The Brothers, Best Man, etc. heart wrenched movies that portrayed who were in society. today we have nothing to represent us blacks, because we have nothing in society. no true black love left in us, where did it go?
